Data Use Policy
Last updated: April 2026 · Sugra Systems, Inc. · Delaware, USA
This Data Use Policy is part of and incorporated by reference into the Sugra Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
1. Purpose
This policy describes the nature of the Data made available through the Sugra API and the conditions under which you may use it. It applies to all Subscribers and to any natural person accessing the Service under a Subscriber account.
2. Nature of the Data
Sugra is a technology infrastructure provider. The Service aggregates, normalizes, and delivers Data originating from public, governmental, intergovernmental, and partner sources. Sugra is a technology intermediary; it is not the originator, author, or publisher of the Data.
The categories of Upstream Sources include, without limitation: government statistical agencies, central banks, intergovernmental and multilateral organizations, financial market data providers, securities regulators, weather and climate services, earth observation and remote sensing services, commodity exchanges, public registries, and similar public-interest data providers.
Sugra does not undertake to disclose the identity of specific Upstream Sources, the composition of any particular response, or the order in which sources are consulted. Sugra may add, remove, replace, or reorder Upstream Sources at any time and without notice.
3. As-Is Basis
The Data is provided on an as-is, as-available, best-efforts basis. Sugra does not verify, audit, certify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, timeliness, or fitness of the Data for any particular purpose. Delays, gaps, inconsistencies, corrections, and errors in the Data may occur and are generally outside of Sugra's control.
Any reliance you place on the Data is at your sole risk.
4. No Investment, Financial, or Professional Advice
Nothing made available through the Service constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, tax advice, legal advice, medical advice, or professional advice of any kind. No Data, response, signal, statistic, indicator, or derived value is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or transact in any security, commodity, instrument, or asset.
The Data is provided for informational, research, and technical purposes only. You are solely responsible for any decision or action taken on the basis of the Data. You should consult a licensed financial advisor, attorney, accountant, or other qualified professional before making any decision with legal, financial, or similar consequences.
Statistical, climate, and projection values provided through the Service are probabilistic estimates and not guarantees of any outcome or future state.
5. Permitted Use
Subject to your subscription, the Terms of Service, and this policy, you may:
- Integrate the Data into your own software products, applications, analytics pipelines, and research workflows.
- Display the Data within your own applications for the benefit of your own end users, subject to any attribution requirements imposed by the applicable Upstream Sources.
- Use the Data for internal research, analysis, and business operations.
- Derive insights, transformations, and non-substitutable outputs from the Data for use in your products and services.
6. Prohibited Use
You shall not, and shall not permit any User or third party to:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or otherwise make available the Data as a standalone data product, feed, or dataset.
- Build, operate, or contribute to a service whose primary purpose is the aggregation or re-publication of data originating from the Service.
- Extract Data in bulk, or at volumes or cadences that exceed the rate limits applicable to your subscription tier, including through rotating credentials, multiple accounts, proxies, or similar techniques.
- Use the Data for market manipulation, insider trading, benchmark manipulation, or any other activity that violates applicable securities, commodities, or market regulation.
- Use the Data for unlawful purposes, including facilitation of money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, or harassment.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any attribution, source indication, metadata, or notice accompanying the Data where such attribution is required by the applicable Upstream Source.
- Reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to derive the identity of specific Upstream Sources underlying any response, other than through attribution expressly included in the response.
7. Upstream Source Compliance
Certain Upstream Sources impose licensing, attribution, redistribution, or other conditions on the use of their data. Where such conditions apply to the end use of the Data in your product, you are responsible for identifying and complying with those conditions. Sugra will include attribution metadata in API responses where it is required by the applicable Upstream Source.
You acknowledge that your use of the Data in your end product may be subject to obligations beyond those imposed by Sugra, and that Sugra has no ability to enforce or waive those Upstream Source obligations on your behalf.
8. Data Accuracy and Timeliness
Delays, revisions, and discrepancies between the Data and the corresponding upstream records are normal and expected. Market data delivered through the Service may not reflect real-time conditions and may be delayed according to the policies of the Upstream Source. Statistical series may be revised without notice as upstream agencies publish corrections. Climate, weather, and earth observation outputs are probabilistic and may vary between providers.
Sugra makes no representation that any particular value is current, final, or identical to any specific authoritative source.
9. Retention and Caching
Except as expressly permitted in a separate written agreement, you shall not retain, cache, or archive the Data beyond what is necessary to operate your product and to serve the requests of your end users. You shall implement reasonable measures to prevent the Data from being extracted, copied, or reused beyond the scope of your permitted use.
Sugra may cache, store, and serve Data internally to operate the Service efficiently. Sugra's internal caching practices are subject to its own operational needs and may change without notice.
10. Changes
Sugra may modify this policy, the composition of Upstream Sources, the scope and granularity of Data, and the technical behavior of the Service at any time. Such changes do not constitute a breach of any agreement. For material changes to this policy, Sugra will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice by email to the address on file and a prominent notice at sugra.systems, and will update the "Last updated" date above.
